Palmdale Regional Medical Center is proud to be one of a few facilities in Palmdale, California, and the surrounding communities performing Biportal Endoscopic Spinal Surgery (BESS), an ultra minimally invasive surgery accessing the spine through two small ports.

A novel two-portal endoscopic approach to the spine, the dualPortal solution allows surgeons to easily learn and perform a wider array of lumbar spine procedures than the conventional one-portal technique. dualPortal is a technique that is versatile, powerful and allows for greater flexibility and enhanced visualization of spinal anatomy. This is done by decoupling the endoscopic camera from the surgical instruments. It also provides flexibility to perform endoscopic lumbar fusions with dualX Dual Expanding Interbody Fusion System.
